There are numerous specialized tests that I run routinely in my practice: Adrenal Stress Test, GI function test, SIBO, Melatonin output. One I like in particular is the ELISA test or food sensitivity test.
ELISA:
Most people know if they have food allergies. They eat something and their face swells up or they immediately vomit. However, people with diets containing little variation may develop antibodies to certain foods. These antibody reactions, or food intolerances can have more detrimental effects.
Symptoms can include:
Weight gain
Headaches or migraines
Fatigue
Rashes
Joint or muscle pain
Bloating, diarrhea, constipation, nausea, excessive gas, reflux
Frequent colds, runny nose, other symptoms of allergies, asthma
